I believe the Dem's money is paying for the new stand. I really believe that all the media saying we are going to spend nothing is rubbish. Do you think Mo will want to lose Prem status and the new TV money that will go with it. If we do spend only 6-8 millions we will know Mo is now wanting to get some of his money back. Which I don't blame him, though I have a feeling we will quietly spend more than 20 million this season after maybe other player sales like Baird and so on, also I have though this season that our wages might be less as the lack of Dempsey and Dembele, Jonhson and Bobby so I think we will have funds from the saving of wages we have made.

So my message is lets not get angry from MEDIA reports since they are rubbish. Think of the 1000's of player reports they have got wrong. Only in the in September can we judge how Mo has done. Though either then the excitement for the new stand will help me forget if we don't spend a penny.

I think the worry stems from this time last year when we were very contented and looking forward to the next season. Rumours about players going out and coming in were accepted without concern. But what happened was we lost players and we had few come in all on the cheap. Yes Berbatov was great but we looked short up front and in the middle. Same fans were excited by our good start and then we just fell away with no back up.

This year we are just nervy. Some people will blame individuals but the the problems we had last year have now grown. The squad is weaker and older with players contracts running out. On top of that we still feel that a defeat on Saturday and relegation is still there as an outside threat.

So one good performance and a few bright signings from now to next season and things may look brighter. But I trusted the club last year with a good squad to make it even better. They didn't. So I will remain with acid reflux and migraines and the shakes until such time the club do a better job than they did last year. Not asking for mad investment. Just less trolling around the old peoples homes of Europe.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

I think Al Fayed has a buyer lined up for us. There was talk not too long ago about the Qatari royal family stepping in, (who he has a history with). I've heard the same rumour again in the last couple of weeks - not specific to us but they apparently want to buy a premier league club.
It was unexpected when he wrote off all that debt recently as well. That will certainly make us more attractive to any potential buyer.

I've been thinking this for a while myself. It does look like we're being tarted up for a buyer.

I've been saying that MAF is looking to sell for the better part of a year. Interestingly -- to me -- there seem to be more and more people saying this as the season unfolded.

Interesting read. What are we going to spend the money on, transfers or Riverside development?

That Messi bloke seems to have gone of the boil a bit. Maybe we should put an offer in  :dft011:
