After a couple of days to digest Wednesday's result, I have come up with the following statement to sum up my thoughts on the matter:

"Winning the Europa League is something towards which one should aspire, not for which one should settle"

I still haven't got over us not winning it. But hopefully after next season we will have another shot at it.

Agree Mr Airfix. Have always disliked how the competition gets filled with Champions League failures.

A friend was crowing to me about their win this morning, and I had to remind him that when we reached Hamburg he had written it off as an insignificant competition...
