Didn't Zamora get around 20 goals in the Europa campaign?  23 goals ain't bad, but to not score in the league in the second half of the season until the final day is pretty awful.

Ba has been cup-tied for the Europa League, so Torres has been up front for the Europa League and Ba has started in the Prem.

Torres has played in 35 league games with only 8 as a sub, and scored 7 goals.

I would take Torres in a heart beat .
I think he has gradually improved this season and has never given less than 100%.

His problem is how great he was and his price tag of £50mn

He set the bar very high whilst at Liverpool.

By his own standards, he has not hit the same heights...

But he is still a class player, and is showing signs of getting back to his usual old self.

And to be fair to him, he didn't price himself...

If Fulham could get him for, say, 10 Mil/yr...  With a sliding bonus clause for goals/assists in excess of 23/yr.  He did it before in the Prem league (unlike Ruiz).  He suffered no devastating knee/ankle/foot injury since Liverpool.  He can do it again.  He takes a lot of crap from fans and the publick yet holds his head up and works hard.  Just a hunch, but I think the slump is ending.
