Just watched this montage of the top 10 goals of the season - some pretty tasty ones in there, including (unfortunately) Luiz's goal for that lot down the road against us.

Which one hits the top spot for you? I like RVPs one - amazing pass from Rooney, and a top class volley.

zschwartz

disappointed not to see berbatov's volley v stoke on the list.

Berbatov volley against stoke 23/02/13

but its got to be rvp v villa; lowton in 2nd.

Lowton for me. Special mention goes to Mr Mirallas for his goal against Spurs.

I cant think of ever seeing a better goal than RVP's. Big call i know, but it is sublime and I would love for someone to post a link for a better strike on goal. The difficulty in pulling that shot off is unreal...sprinting, looking over shoulder, letting the ball drift across his shoulder to his outside foot, knowing where the goal was without needing a second glance, watching the ball right onto his boot and the clean contact (no shin or anything)...absolute class

i think the call taints the build up of the goal, but you cant argue about that technique, class.
Self proclaimed tactical genius, football manager approved.

For me it's just as much about the moment as it is about the technique and for this the best goal ever for me is still Zidanes volley in the champions league Final.

I hate everything about him, but this was some goal:

I'm amazed that everyone seems to have forgotten about Cameron Jerome's strike against Southampton

@MattRhys63 - be warned, there will be a lot of nonsense

The thing is volleys like Lowtons or Jeromes you see every season in different forms. That RVP goal was just special and perfectly executed, it will be one of those goals like Di Canios or Bergkamp against Newcastle that you look back on and just think that was very special.

Yep and it's the same with suarez - technique from a player who is fully capable.

I'd like to see Lowton try that again.

Personally Suarez is my favourite, that piece of control and then second touch is just magical.

That Jerome goal is very similar to Baird's one a few years ago.

This isn't easy, as there's a lot of good stuff to choose from. But I'll go with RVP's excellent strike. Yeah, I know, it means praising Rooney's pass too, but he ain't all bad.

Btw does anybody else wish Luiz success in his mooted move to Barcelona? At least he wouldn't be able to do that to us again.  :012:

MOR :

Toss up between Lowton & RVP for me...
