The reports were all very strange, from what I gathered we were just trying to get him off our books. Many places said that we were giving him away, could be a translation issue though.

he obviously didn't get a look in defensive midfield cause he's an attacking one?

While he wasn't given a huge amount of playing time, he had the opportunity every day at the training ground to compete and prove he belonged. Given the midfield situation going into last season, he needed to step up and take a spot, and he didn't do it.
You can observe a lot by just watching.

I like Kasami but i don't think he will ever be a regular for us, it won't surprise me if he moves on this summer
