Danny Murphy is close to agreeing a deal to quit Blackburn.

The former Fulham midfielder endured a nightmare first season at the Championship club and Rovers are keen to move him out.

Murphy still has a year left on his £30,000 a week contract but is willing to sort out a deal so he can find a new club.

It could be a turbulent summer at Ewood Park, as Bolton are considering a bid for Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes.

Meanwhile, Rovers face competition from Leeds for talented Crewe midfielder Luke Murphy.

Ironic that Murph left us for a two-year deal where he was guaranteed playing time, and now he's looking for a new team. After we lost Dembele and Diarra went down, he could have played in every game for us last season as long as he stayed healthy.

He wasnt up to his best to his best last season but could have been useful last.

charlton makes enough sense. his time at spurs didn't go superbly either but he has bounced back before and you have to expect him to.

Sky Sports seem to think that he may come back as a player coach, it sounds like bo!!ocks to me though.

Can't see him playing but would love to have him back in a coaching role.

Would love him in a coaching role and I guess we could register him as a player, but I wouldn't want him anywhere above say 5th choice at CM, only in the event of a massive injury crisis.

Intelligent man and deep thinker on the game.
Would love him as part of our personnel.
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

I said it at the time but maybe Jol don't want him back.

He would he a ready made caretaker if things went wrong early season and you just know his name would be sung by the crowd to take over.

Although saying all that if we don't have a cm in by sept 2nd and he's still a free agent, he'd better stand by his phone.

Yeah I'd love him as a coach. Can't blame him for going bburn for 2yrs at 30k a week. At the very least now bburn will pay him a significant proportion of that last years wages just to get him off their books - meanwhile he'll pick up another wage packet from us.

It pays to move about!

would love to see him take over from Jol whenever that might be!

Get him here in a coaching capacity to get used to how things work behind the scene and nurture him to take over.

Top bloke and will be a top manager

I'd would love to see him back at the club in some capacity, he's got great coaching potential.  Fulham seem to be already under his skin, and anything which deepens those ties is good by me.
