I thought it was an excellent interview and good for him going on the show.
The message is business as usual, improve the ground with matchday income and other streams.
Does not fans to worry about relegation at the start of season. Top ten should be the target and sustainability.
Dont expect massive investment but they will do their best to support the CEO & Jol.

pretty good stuff. fair enough... 'self sustainable' talk is slightly worrying as its still unclear how much value khan/jol/mackintosh sees already existing in the current squad. but we'll know soon enough.

He says we "can't be like a sailor on shore leave who comes in and burns up a bunch of money," yet the "checkbook is open" but only with Jol & Mackintosh's "very thorough, responsible plan."

Sounds pretty reasonable, if vague.

Slightly disappointing really. Especially after Jol's positive interview on the offal. I can only hope he has noticed the majority of the league spending vast sums this summer on players. We have a fundermental need for a creative midfielder and a striker. Was hoping for £25m for the squad and additional plans for the Cottage.

I am though an optimist.

Good interview, considering how cautious he has to be especially through non-official channels like Cottage Talk. I'm feeling very positive that we'll be making a controlled ascent over the next few years, starting with a few key investments in the remainder of this window and the ground expansion.

People always desire more power. He may just be expanding his legacy. Why does any person but any business, particularly sports clubs.

Realistically, I'm sure there is some aspect of exposure in this at least partly for the Jaguars as well as himself. There is definitely the considerable issue of Jaguars support being weaker than a lot of others, and with the NFL gaining *some* sort of motion here he might be hoping to become the first to capture English support for an NFl 'franchise'.

Either way, I also think he'll run Fulham as a separate business and he'll run it well.

All we can do is wait and see but more and more I get the feeling we will probably need to look towards some quality players coming through our academy if we are to move onto the next level.

With each Khan interview I hear I fear his interest in the purchase is about the Jaguars, not investing in the future of Fulham. All the teams we are actively competing against have invested large amounts on quality players this summer. We are facing another testing season where anything above 16th will be deemed a success with yet another annual 'transition' season' in 2014/15

I just don't see anything changing in our dealings even with the extra TV income which looks like its earmarked to cover the cost of the new  stand. Has he been speaking to Randy Learner and been warned about spending money.

I think we need to Hunker on down as I think its going to be a long haul before we can begin to banish fear of relegation before every season targeting a top 7 place  instead of the usual 40 points

I think the Premier League is at the point now where the TV money is only going to go up. Add to this that all PL teams are trying to expand to accommodate a global audience and owning a Premier League team, especially one that can establish itself as a major worldwide brand, and you've got a fantastic investment.

I think this is why I'm not too bothered about the limiting factors of stadium expansion; money gained from ticket sales will have less and less of an impact in the next few years. Global TV rights and merchandising will be where the big money's at. Any investment now to make us into an attractive top 10 team that gains the support of people worldwide will be a worthwhile investment.

The only issue for me a few years down the line, having moved up North, is will I still be able to get a ticket for games when I can pop down to watch them?
