does anyone think its worth having a look at Van Der Vaart? i liked him when he was in Prem and he plays with one of Jols old teams so might make the transaction alittle easier...owe and his Dutch. thoughts?

Plays at CM or CAM, classy player and would be great for us. 30yrs old though - sure Jol will know if he's good value or if there are better players out there.

i think he only cost Hamburg 10mil i think he would be great for us, we havnt realy been linked with any creative midd yet just loads of defensive, i realy like Mccarthy but 20mil is to much.

Just because we have a new owner doesn't mean we'll be paying 100kpw wages. Classy player, plays a deeper role for Holland, would be an amazing signing for Fulham but won't happen.

Van der vaart would be interesting however if we are talking players that would be amazing but would probably never happen, I would go for Kaka from Madrid. They have loads of quality mids, he is 31 but what a player.

VDV is way too young for Jol, if Jol is still in charge in 6 years time, then I'd expect him to make a bid for VDV
