Ok so relfecting on last year we all thought it was a disappointing season. This wasn't down to the position but how we played. We played lackluster performances and through games away. We didn't look daunting going forward and are usual solid defense wasn't as it shoudld've been leaking Sloppy Goals. Jol week in week out picks his players, the ones he has signed. Ruiz for 11m, the guy couldn't hit a barn door last season let alone pull of a shoot. Rodallega's stats speak for himself lack of goals and still lots of minutes to his name. Rumor has it we rejected a 3 mil bid from Hull, god save us if this is true. Looking at the side today i saw a side with some tricky players but not an enough going forward so this is where i come in. We need a striker, one like darren bent who isn't afraid to shoot and doesn't run around like a headless chicken like Rodallega does. We need a solid holding midfielder someone who'll stay back and Tackle without being reckless. Ruiz had many bad performances, many back to back, but yet still didn't get dropped for the next game, this is Jol's problem. It reminds me of Sunday league when the manager picks his son week in week out even when he isn't good enough. We also need a solid left back with pace but not some reject from the Eredivise that jol had 10 years ago. This would be my standard team for a match at home( I have added in a couple of signings that would come within our budget.)

The home team consists of two solid cdm- To wingers with good touch and skill, Taarabt who can control a game and Berba upfront to Keep the ball. I think we need players in Midfield that can keep the ball and have good control. Our Ground is small and this style of play will suit, not rushing the attack but building the play up and with a cf like Taarabt who is willing to shoot.

For away games I have put in Richardson at Lb mainly for the pace and attacking ability which would be useful on a big pitch. I have also controversially put taarabt in a cm role, this would hep move the  ball up the field quicker in a counter attacking manner. I have put ruiz as sort of a lcam. I feel he would be effect here as away from home there is usually a bigger space to dribble into which Ruiz Like. I have put Berba in a cf role as he drops into that role away from home usually leaving us with no-one up top. I think eh plays well here as plays as a creative catalyst and creates attacks. Upfront i have put Bent, I feel his pace would be utilised away from home very well and his eye for goal would help us finish our chances and we usually don;t create many away from home.

Obviously I would change the team around for home/away games especially away at United/CIty i would play two defensive midfielders e.t.c.

Make sure to leave your selections.

Given the 1999 in his username, I'll say it's his age. Blimey, I'm getting old...

Careful now Junior, your post made me feel old, and I'm only in my mid-20's!

Well, it so happens I'm 65 and have two grandchildren  -  but senile, I'm not !!

I come from a time of clear thinking and (relatively) clear communication skills.  Wikipedia tells me that Rosetta Stone, among other things, is some sort of language-learning software but I still have no idea what your message is.  You still haven't told us who Jim is.

Anyhow, no hard feelings I trust, either way.
