Does this mean well be seeing a right back and a centre back coming in?!

OxfordWhite

It means Risse is staying by the looks of it, I think it is likely that 6 could be taken by a midfielder.

I thought Riise wanted to move to 6? I'm sure I read that somewhere. Something about it being his lucky number and the shirt he wore at Liverpool

Bents number 39 is free'd up by trotta

Why the strange number for Amorebieta? Perhaps he won't be first choice after all...

Sometimes it's just purely down to personal preference.

no number 2 but Reither has 27. What's that all about? 092.gif   I like the old way, right back was always number 2. I wonder what George Cohen has to say.

35. Fernando Amorebieta

couldn't he have had 6?

Riise? He wore that in pre season. Maybe he's leaving, and there's no point in changing his number.

You sir are an idiot. Hughes and Senderos are on a different level to him, a much lower level.

Rhys Lightning 63

WHY IS SENDEROS WEARING NUMBER 4?!?!?! That's a midfielders number NOT for centre-backs. SORT IT OUT!!!
@MattRhys63 - be warned, there will be a lot of nonsense

Lighthouse

Ah yes the days when 1 to 11 was all you needed. Now it just makes life complicated when reading out the teams.

Come along little Johnny to you first game. Number 1 is the keeper number 2 is the right back, number 8 is um the centre forward, number 9 is the centre half with pike um, number 47 is the um bloke who plays at the base of the pyramid if we are playing without winger. Johnny stop crying it will all become clear.

Except the offside rule. Wait until your mother gets back from work at the Cern Collider and she will try and explain it to you.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

Squad numbers - was THIS the imminent announcement we had been promised?
Splendid news indeed, good job, well done Jol et al

Vinnieffc

In my playing days I would always prefer to wear #4. I spent most of my time as a sweeper or full back, but also played as a defensive mid and on occasion out and out striker. Irrespective of where I was playing, I always wanted #4 on my back.

Fulham1959

So, we have a Banya and a Na Bangna.

It's all becoming clear, now.
