When I lived in Fulham 10 years ago I used to go to the cottage pub.
Not sure if its even going anymore.
fast forward and I'm now back ( but live in Hammersmith albeit 10 minutes from the game off Fulham palace road). I've stopped in at the crabtree last couple of times. Its fine but doesn't really care about the game. Its not a pub that supports FFC.
Where does everyone go?
I'm really becoming obsessed with the team.
Season ticket holder on the riverside side halfway line.
. Long story short, I want to connect more. I've been following FFC from a distance living in HK and the US.
My wife is Brazilian and is connected to Flamenco in Rio.
I'm doing an EMBA at Cambridge...one of my classmates works for the NFL so I can get a connection with our new owner....as silly as it sounds, I would like to broker a connection with FFC and the Brazil /Rio teams...think about it..... player loans, a connection between the clubs...I do some decent business in Rio.
maybe a fantasy but......
I'd love to connect more with everyone etc

The Cottage pub is now flats, rumours have it that Frank Lampard bought the pub and turned it into flats

Rudolph

The one we use Terry is the Golden Lion.  Very Fulham, although and absolute bugger to get served.

The good ole Cottage was my game drinking den, great Fulham boozer, maybe fat frank took it for that. Although didn't it turn into a gastro before he got his mitts on it? Golden lion will only allow us whites in, not sure about the Durrell which is another Fulham pub.

Logicalman

Welcome aboard Terry.

Another Brazilian link here then, Ex-Pat living in the US, now working on a Brazilian Project, our office down there is in São Paulo. Have some good friends there and they visit the US quite often.

Thats a myth. Ive seen away fans in colours in the Lion over the years although they are small in numbers. I really like the Durrell, especially after the game.

Most people I know drink in the Low Country on the roundabout of the Fulham Road / Fulham Palace Road. Its OK but the satff wind me up a bit in there.

There used to be a nice little Brazillian bar just over Putney Bridge on the right hand side. I think it's changed now but I used to pop in there for a beer and watch Brazillian football sometimes.

The Equalizer

It's a bit of a ball ache from Hammersmith, but The Brick in Putney is one of the better pre-match pubs around. Loads of Fulham in there every match, and it has a big garden. It's probably the best one if you like real ale. Otherwise I'd tend to go to the Durell or Low Country.

The Golden Lion smells of wee. Quite literally.

Yep used to like Low country but you're right about the staff, pain to get served and when you do the change is wrong. Friends used to drink here ,but not any longer as they were overcharged, ( pricey enough ) and happened more than once.

I used to go to the Cottage, before they firstly ponced it up and then ultimately turned it in to residentials. I have also heard the whisper that it was Frank wot did it...

I come in from Putney so tend to either go to the Dukes Head or the Low Country. Followed by chips from Fishers.

I tend to avoid the Lion, for the reasons Mr Eq (smelly dump) and Rudolph (long time to get served, grumpy staff) state.

When we played QPR last season I met a couple of Rs mates in the Temperance. Bit of a barn.

And I haven't been in the Larrick for years... Last time I went in there is was the Kings Head (or Arms?) with that porn shop on the opposite corner  :dft011:

Low Country used to be the Kings Head, and that's the one with Ziggla on the opposite corner. The Larrick up on the corner of New Kings Road, opposite the Temperance, used to be the Kings Arms.

The Temperance used to be the Pharoah and Firkin which was a phenomenal boozer back in the day. The Golden Lion used to be good.

But speaking of Ziggla, after a match at the Cottage several years back, a crowd was caught in a bit of a bottle-neck walking to the Golden Lion around that corner at the top of Fulham Road and waiting for the zebra crossing. Me and several others were stuck outside the shop and happened to glance in, as you do. Some rather delectable young lady was stood at the back trying on various garments of diminished size and at that instant happened to have her Old Holborn out on display. Suffice to say, the crowd took it's time crossing the road.

Either the Chancellors or th Old Suffolk Punch. Both good Fulham pubs. I have taken more of a liking to the OSP for the last couple of seasons. Hate the Golden with a passion.

Scrumpy

Old Suffolk Punch for me too. 90% Fulham, although away fans are welcomed if they're civilised. The only down side is that most of the tables are reserved for regulars (like me!) so a lot of casual visitors struggle to get a seat. Good beer, good quick food, great atmosphere and doesn't even smell of p!ss. What's not to like?
English by birth, Fulham by the grace of God.

Thanks....Its just around the corner!

The landlady is great as are most if not all of the staff, beer is good, not extortionate.  Never tried the food. Will now.

The landlady in the Suffolk punch isn't a Fulham fan though is she ?

The Chancellors put out free food about an hour after the game. :yay:
