Galey gives it as he sees it

Not one mention of our defence looking an absolute shambles on Saturday, being out jumped and completely overran.  Probably would lead to an awkward silence on the golf course with Brede and Aaron.

So how else do you explain his reluctance to criticise?

Not heard the whole dialogue but he doesn't like critising because he is a fulham fan in the media, who also covers games at the Cottage, possibly with a lot of friends at the club?
Maybe he's keeping a 'professional' edge to it, maybe he doesn't want to admit we are poor, maybe he doesn't know what he's talking about? Who knows?!

This is about the only time I've seen him actually lay into a player.  Not exactly keeping it "professional" when you consider some of the woeful performances we had last year (west ham and QPR away), with not so much as a hint of blame.

Hardly laying in to a player. He has pointed out some technical frailties in a couple of performances. Is your dislike for Gayle completely fuelled by him not rating Senderos as highly as you do or are there other, deeper lying issues?

I've heard him criticize Fulham players and Fulham play many many times during matches. The only time he ever sounded like a Fulham "homer" to me was when he was bigging up Dembele. He slobbered over his every move so much I thought he was Moussa's agent.
