Avatars - again

I know this has come up previously so apologies if I have missed the answer/guidance.

When I try to load a profile picture from my own computer, it doesn't load and the following error message appears:

"An Error Has Occurred!
The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved."

Is there a solution?

there are a couple of solutions

first and easiest? PM me and I'll ask you to send me a copy of the photo/image and I'll upload it for you

the other method is to upload the photo/image to the web, somewhere like http://www.imageshack.us
you can then "link" directly to the uploaded file

please not avatars should be approx 90x90 pixels

WhiteJC - Thanks for that but, as if by magic, the attempted avatar has appeared. I'll run with that rather than try and upload the new one I have of Samantha Bigbits in a black and white bikini...
