I had thought his absence from recent u18 matches was due to injury. But, in fact, he has been back in the USA for a national squad training camp and has now been selected in the 18-man squad for an upcoming tournement in Paris.

Congratulations to him. He sometimes gets overlooked among the various potential stars at that level, but he is a smashing little player. A creative midfielder of the type we could very much do with at senior level. Like one or two others, he is still very small - even if he does come from Texas!

elgreenio

puts himself about a lot more than when he was in the early days of his scholarship despite his stature. Still remember him scoring a beautiful hat-trick in his first start for the u18s.

Will line up on the opposite side to Moussa Dembele next Wednesday in the Limoges tournament

He certainly don't get over looked by the academy staff who hold him in very high regards, they have big hopes for him

Weren't there also highish hopes for Altman?

Pluto

High hopes for this guy- two quick feet, good work rate, can pass and looks to have an excellent football brain. Has looked good whenever I've seen him. Hopefully the physical side of his game will come with age, and it's good to hear he's already improving in that respect.

Not according to Sarah Brookes on Twitter.  Permanent move last year.
Hopefully it won't be the start of the promising kins deciding to leave before the first team see any benefit.

REALLY?! Since when? There's all these articles on him being a FFC player from this summer: http://talksport.com/sports-news/football/premier-league/130612/fulham-star-omri-altman-urges-martin-jol-give-him-first-team-berth-199484

That seemed to be the general consensus :p  she just said:
"for the record, Omri is no longer a #ffc player.  Permanent move at end of last season"

Oh, and he's not on the under X team lists on ffc.com

He certainly went in for a few solid block tackles against Man city, when he's playing you don't really notice that his small stature. If he had lightning acceleration of Richards and Williams he would be unstoppable but maybe this has made him develop his touch, close control and confidence at holding the ball to pick the right pass and. He is more a Rolls Royce than a Ferrari, more style and refinement for the whole 90 minutes but less acceleration and top speed apt to blow up after 60minutes.

certainly Hyndman needs to grow another couple of inches and put on a stone or two before he can be looked at seriously as a full professional.
