Jol's getting his excuses in early

Fulham manager Martin Jol on BBC Radio 5 live: "We need at least 40 points to stay up. Of course I want to do better than that but you have to consider the transition we have undergone. We have lost 25-30 players in the last two years. We have to gel as a team. I believe we have the ability to develop into a very good team again.

"I want to make people happy. I do not think there is someone else that could do a better job - someone who could attract players like Ruiz and Berbatov. They came because of Fulham but because of me too."

This is absolutely pathetic.
