What a performance from Riise, Kaca, and Dejegah.

Genuinely shocked to hear people believe Riise was our worst player. Afterwards I identified Riise as our best player on the night. He was clearly under pressure, was not supported well, is not as good as he used to be but put in a real shift.

I hasten to add that I felt Richardsons performance at WHU was as bad as I can remember.

I am one of Riise's biggest critics but he had a really decent game. Perhaps he faded like a few others in the second half but I was impressed with him, for the first time in a very long time.

Riise had to deal with Lennon -- who was Spuds' best attacker all night -- and still did well to support the attack. I can't believe that there are people on this site who have to work up a sweat finding a player to blame.

If the defeat was down to any one particular player I'd have to choose Lloris.  A keeper of even a tiny bit less ability wouldn't have saved a good few of the shots on Wednesday.
