Jol will get that job. Ex baggy

Yep that makes sense, Clarke gets the sack for 4 losses in a row, Jol 6 so that's an improvement then

Nero

well if Jol does go there least that will be another relegation place taken

St Eve

Moussa Dembele the 3rd

Is this the same Steve Clarke that was being used as a role model when Rene was made up? :hook:
Watching the ups and downs since 1958, wouldn't have it any other way, what a roller coaster of a club.

PaulJ123

Unbelievable sacking.

Jol would make sense in terms of being ex-WBA but can't see him getting back into management that soon

They have had a long run of poor results. It was not a snap decision. Similar to us

Following Roy seems to be a hard thing to do.

Interesting. Is that because Roy knows when to move on or the replacements fail to fill his shoes?  Probably a bit of both

west kowloon white

Crazy-not sure whether to feel smug about yet another club joining  the bunch in the mix-interesting to see who they get in.So who 's next...Villa ,judging by last week....all is not lost

EJL

According to BBC, 9 wins in 41 league games & 31 points from last 34 games.

Burt

Their form has not been that much better than ours... Lukaku and Odemwingie kept them afloat when they were there...

Must be a few add ons and revelations to come. Clarke looked very disinterested last week and in his radio interview tonight he was quite clearly too fed up to care before he was sacked. The fluctuations of the bottom eight as the season progresses will be like a soap opera.

It's that time of year- when fear of relegation kicks in.

"Tis the season to be sacking" -
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

By building expectations at low achieving clubs is Roy is to blame for both Clarke and Jols demise? You could easily substitute Fulham for WBA in these quotes -
"Our player wage bill is the highest in the club's history and we feel we have built a squad capable of being very competitive in the Premier League."
"Having followed West Brom for over 40 years, I believe this is the best squad since 1981-82 and I think they are underachieving.
"Roy Hodgson left behind a professional outfit. Under Steve Clarke, when West Brom were at their best, they were more attractive than when they played under Hodgson, but they were less difficult to beat.
