Sad news about his death.

Although I am a dedicated Elvis fan, to some extent it was the Everly Brothers whose music was the backdrop to my very early teenage years.  Cathy's Clown dominated the summer of 1960 and hits like Walk Right Back, So Sad / Lucille and Crying In The Rain continued the magic.

I feel my youth has finally gone (I'm nearly 66!).

My fondest memory of The Everlys was having just been called up and not knowing whether I was , to put it politely, on my base or my apex, to be sitting in my billet on a Saturday evening (not allowed out in your first few months), listening to the radio and they announced the latest by the Everly's and up came 'Dream'. Still one of my favourites. RIP Phil.
