Great record for its day but what is the relevance?

I like reggae but also do not =understand the relevance BUT
Bob is Bob andy a pretty good  singer and I saw supporting eddy grant in the dominionTottenham court Road years ago and Marcia is marcia Griffiths a top female singer.
I like them both, on their own.... I never really liked this kind of thing, al a bit to lightweight and syrupy for me.
I like the 'dancehall stylee ' from the late 70s and early 80s.
