Does anyone else remember us shipping goals left, right, and center that year?  I remember we were awful at set pieces and we were hopeless against corners and any free kicks put into the box.  Our defensive frailties were similar to what we look like this year.  What changed everything?  Of course Roy Hodgson was the biggest part of it, but our Captain Brede Hangeland came in during the January window and solidified the defense.  He was a rock, tall, athletic, and calm on the ball.

If any time we need the dominant in form Brede, it is now.  Captain Hangers, please stand up!!!!

Terrible performance today but getting him back is vital to this team.  We need fighters right now!

Maybe the throwback pairing of Aaaron Hughes and Brede can show their experience and drag us up the table?   049:gif
