Get some huevos!

OK boyos.  I'm beginning to get a bit exaspitrated with some of yous.  So, I'm going to get my retaliationing in early.
We're not likely to have a great game today.  Theres' a possibility we're not likely to have a great game for a while.  The club is going through a mini-crisis of confidence.  It is way over-extended with too many groins, knees and shoulders with too fragile a bank balance to fly at the heights that we all wish.
What blows the hair up my nostrils is the ranting and raving (even on this board now) after a modestly average performance (like the Spurs game) along with the insinuations that Roy's not really up to it.  Too many scribes are back to the position of "I, the great messageboard warrior can see things Roy can't see because he's thick and, well, I'm a genius - and the fact that I'm all lashed up on five pints of Boddies before the game and can't see the hair on my hands stands for nought!"
One of Fulham's biggest problems has been the fickle weakness (flamed with bombastic vitriol) of its fans.  It used to be contained to the terrace - mostly the enclosure.  It's now available for purchase in stands and on messageboards.
I would ask you to recognise this: The team is light on talent; the team is light on numbers; on occasion, the team is light on goals; the team is light on wins.
What's the real problem?  THE TEAM IS LIGHT ON SPONDOOLIES, MuN!  Blind Freddy can see that!
But, effin' bloody 'ell, the team is heavy enough on points at the moment, is it not.
Instead of our moaning, our billerickying, our false-teeth gnashing, skid-mark drawing, Y-Front tangling, vicarious-living venom, THE TEAM NEEDS OUR BLOODY SUPPORT!
Therewarethen.  I feel better for having done said that, bachgen.
Nogood "semper temper my bloody daisies" Boyo
P.S.  Of course, if we win handsome like, you can forget I ever done written this - until the next game......

I am not one to be complaining about the occasional performance, the ever present optimistic resident Michigander on the borard, but today broke my back. Spurs was not average, it was rubbish, and so was today, as well as the first half at Accrington-Stoke and the whole of Blackburn. We lack patience and creativity, as well as the motiviation and charector that we previously had. We never were beaten to 5050 balls and we are continusouly being beaten to them. We never concede from set peices, now all of a sudden theyve been coming at a rate that is unaccepatble. We have been DEFUNCT IN EVERY FACET OF THE GAME this month, and if not for a sending off at Accrington we would be out of the cup as well.

And for those of you saying we never should beat stoke and blackburn away based on previous history, that is absoluty rubbish. We never should have got points off United either.

I am sorry but mediocrity second rate is not good enough any more, not for me, and it shouldnt be for you, and especially not with the manager that we have.

OK, Im done.

We moan because THIS STUFF MATTERS,thats why,we are short of bodies and short of talent and I'm so fed up with what I saw today I can't put it into words, but do not have a go at the people moaning on this site because we do it for one reason and ones reason only....
WE LOVE OUR CLUB!

Steve_orino

The moaning is tuff to read.  I agree with the getting behind the team rather riding on them.

We're all going to support the club in our own ways...and this board is respectful of that.  I'm certain that is one of the reasons for its popularity.

Agreed Steve. I do not like it either however I do understand it. Many of our hosts on this site have suffered a long time following this club.  I'll never be able to view the team the way they do, so I can't begrudge anyone for having a go at them.

Thing is, I doubt anyone thought Fulham would win today, but even when their intuition comes true in a loss, it is still hard to take, and as Syd says it has everything to do with the fact they love Fulham......so moan away!

That's a good point, RR, one that I lose site of quite a bit.  Since I've come to find Fulham, they've been on a remarkable ride - Great Escape, best finish ever, Europa, and a respectable manager in Roy.

I haven't been around for the suffering.  Not even close and, just in case, I hope my first post wasn't taken as begrudging anyone for moaning.  Was just trying to make the point that I agree with Mr. 'boyo that my preference is to get behind Fulham's finest on the field.

I do doubt anyone though Fulham would win as the entire book making system world wide has us as equal favourites with Villa for the match.

A reason to moan would be if Arsen Wenger, when he came calling last week
did not leave empty handed .....and he has been looking smug  for the last week or so, we will know on Monday @ 17:00

Who is to say that Brede will not be an Arsenal player on Monday ????
your 2 point rating won't amount to a hill of beans ...now will they ????

Moan by all means but calling :

The Boy Kelly,  S$it is frankly crap !!!...........it was his inch perfect crosses in Basel
that got us to the knock-out stage of the Europa.
Murphy is what he is, he  not getting younger so it takes him a couple of extra games to get back ???

Boyo, huevos  you say ????? Someone else  said we should get the clappers back
...............I reckon steel rods, would be far more useful  :-X

I posted this on another thread,

"I could be wrong, but is the expectation too big from us fans. Last season we punched above our weight and it was a fantastic season. We are an established premier league team but we are not loaded with money! So when we have several players out we wont be 100%. I would rather we only had to get another 13-16 pts to stay up and still be in two Cups than be down the bottom of this league with only relegation to worry about. Roy will turn it around no worries. "

I agree that we are entitled to moaning about our team as we pay vast sums of our hard earned to watch them, but confidence is fragile in a football team and if the players are being booed etc it does not make the managers job any easier!

Talking tactics and whether so and so is putting in 100% is fine but I'm getting the feeling that the expectation is that we are the Manure of the South, and I thought we had put that one to bed a long time ago.
I'm not happy that we are losing but then the manager and the team wont be either.

My expectation is not too big. It is just that if a do not agree with a player or manager I will say so. But abuse directed at anybody is not of any use. Support the team but you can moan and critic the managers odd selection. People can debate and disagree, That is why we have FOF up to a point.

We are entitled to moan about the injury problems and moan about the players out of form and moan about the players being played out of position. But expect people to moan back. We all support the side and are against the childish rants.

A good moan hurts nobody.

...I'm in 100% agreement to Rambling_Syd_Rumpo's post.

If we cannot express our happiness, concerns and opinions on a dedicated message board then we may as well pack this all in!

Most fans experiencing yesterdays game will be scratching their heads as to why we are suddenly so poor. Five games, five defeats. Yes we know about the problems with injuries and the lack of quality back up in the squad, you cannot blame the pplayers if they don't make the grade, they didn't buy themselves into the team. You cannot blame the manager if with the funds that he has at his disposal cannot turn decent squad players into superstars.

It goes deeper than that.

I have watched Fulham play dire football for 85% of my supporting life, and although it may be due to masochistic tendencies I was unaware of, I will always be Fulham. If what I say is considered a moan, then I speak how I see. Anyone doubts my support should ask those unfortunate to stand or sit by me over the years, win, or lose...

Lighthouse,   IMO, the players read these boards,  having a chat over a pint is not the same as committing
your thoughts to words, they stay.  Are we not  putting  the boot in when the team is struggling to find form ???????.  Sure the team are not doing well.  IMO, we need to be careful,  I am sure they are also worried.

That is Bollix Moggy....
I saaaaaad if it was not for his excellent crosses we would not be in the knock-out stages of the Europa........
I do not know what they showed on ITV2 ..................... but watching it live ........... it was his inch perfect cross that won us that game.

.............and the only Irish players I would like to see at Fulham are Kilkenny and Ireland ..

and maybe Andy Reid .........because he is nice and fat :) ;D  ( and can play a bit)

I am off to see Waiting for Goddit AGAIN .............Ian McCellin ( however it is spelt) ......I am hoping to find him this time !!! ..toodle pip !!!

Lighthouse

KCat - As much as I would like to think the players read and are moved by our ramblings I am not sure it is true. Yes I  agree with the needless abuse. It is childish and frustrating for the people on the recieving end. It is cowardly and deserves nothing but contempt. However I still feel a good debate, critical or otherwise, is good. Millionaire players can take it and deserve to if they are below par and not performing. I have to, so do you. So do we all.

Without critics and debate we would be a dull lot. Now stop criticising me and my like. It does hurt. ???
