What a farce. I wonder how long the next leader of the bid will last?

This partially also explains why the FA is in such shambles.

England supposedly and historically are supposed to be well known for producing good project/program managers.

I guess times have changed and the notion of an English project manager has become an oxymoron.  :046:

The FA has been in a royal mess for years. From the Howard Wilkinson era to now its been nothing but a bunch of suits interfering with a project that is actually quite simple, foster and nurture the national game. The Brooking "Root and Branch" review of frontline provision is a farce and the Academy and Centre of Excellence programme is close to meltdown unless like the Prem it is tied into the top teams. The mega bucks national stadium is not fit for purpose, the accumulation of debt has one outcome and it is impossible to relate to any of the so called figureheads.
I see a job for Ferguson and Hodgson as well as the likes of Becks and Zola............... Inject some honesty into the national game

Lets wait and see what sort of blind panic measure is taken when we go out of the last eight. Rooney will never be able to carry the weight of the country all the way through as unfortunately he has a mouth and speaks.

I have to chuckle that the guy's reaction to this was to blame the Mail on Sunday and to blame his "friend" for taping him. If there's any wonder why the game is in such financial danger, the fact that the guy who is leading the FA's bid for a World Cup believes that the sin is not in what he said, but in that it was recorded and printed. This is pretty much the same thing Terry Major's lawyer said after the cocaine dealing kerfaffle.

If there are no businessmen in the UK with enough professional integrity to recognize what is appropriate and what is not, then -- speaking for the United States of America -- I will gladly release Mr. Finnster from his NYC bondage to go back to London and right the fekkin ship.
