Tonight's match represents Berbatov's last opportunity to impress and earn himself the move away that, my guess is, he would like.

With Berbatov's apathetic second-half showing at The Emirates ten days ago having surely scuppered any hopes of an approach by Arsenal, the rumour persists that Daniel Levy is considering taking him back to Spurs. It wouldn't surprise me if Berbatov were hoping that a (rare) decent performance this evening will work in his favour.
