Watching Norwegian TV2 again and they had a quiz about what Club owner, sewed(sorry for misspelling) a manager for buying a player for 11 million £ because the manager used so many millions for hes own benefits. And they said Al Fayed sewed Tigana.

I never ever heard of this and actually have hard time believing it. Surely I should have known this but at that time I was a student without internet etc so all my Fulham news came on weekend basis visiting my father.

It's true & Al Fayed lost & had to pay Tigana about £2m in damages

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly...timey-wimey...stuff."

...Al Fayed alleged that Tigana and his friends and acolytes benefited from the transfer funds paid to secure the 'services' of Marlet.

Please remember anyone replying to this, that Mr Fayed has a lot of money and expensive lawyers - as no doubt does Tigana now- this site does not...

At the time Marlet was being touted to a few clubs for about £6m - then all of a sudden we paid £11m !!!!
Shame because Tigana was a genius and overhauled FFC

I suggest if anyone has to comment. Liberal use of the word allegedly will be required.
Watching the ups and downs since 1958, wouldn't have it any other way, what a roller coaster of a club.

Tigana got us playing the best football I've ever seen from a  club side - well maybe Barcelona come close - let alone Fulham. For it to end that way was a great shame. I never thought that Marlet was anywhere near so bad as it's popular for people to say.

Tigana's football was great in the Championship, but taking fifteen pass to reach the halfway line was much too slow for the top division. Saha's goals kept us up more or less single handed.

That French idiot is kept us up.

I've always been a bit hurt that MAF never got around to suing me. He's pretty much sued everyone else including the FA and the Royal Family. What's he got against overweight guitar pickers?  :HD:
