@MattRhys63 - be warned, there will be a lot of nonsense

Slaphead in Qatar

Yep. Definately think rene is missing a trick here. Under any circumstances kara should be used for last 30 mins of the match. I bet we would have got at least a point last night if he would have come on at 2-1.

Where would we fit him in?

Last couple of games it's been a 442/441, with Tunnicliffe on the right and Holtby working just behind the striker. Unless we shove Sidwell to the right to protect Riether, or drop Kvist/Sidwell completely, I can't see him playing. Which would be a shame as he really would provide our midfield with that extra passing ability, plus the ball moves quicker with him on the pitch and he has a fantastic way of winning free kicks.

Only way I can see him fitting in would be by shoving Holtby onto the right, meaning he's too far away from Bent and wouldn't have as much influence on a game.

Though he would be a very effective substitute, more so than Scott Parker I think.

Karagounis is a good player but now we have Kvist, Sidwell, Parker & Holtby for the centre he is never going to get a look in

On recent performances would prefer Kara to Parker as a sub, not sure what it is but Parker seemed to be more affected by the general  malaise of the team against Southampton and Sheffield, lost some of his drive, holding on to the ball too long and sideways passing. Maybe the rest and competition will rejuvinate him?

Big Martin Jol

It's Boateng I feel sorry for. He's been trying to get to the Cottage for years - but he makes three league appearances and he's done. He wanted to go on loan even before we got Kvist and Holtby, but now we're out of the cups he hasn't got a chance in hell of playing for us.
Scott Parker is the greatest living Englishman.

b+w geezer

I imagine that his role for now is to help smoothe his compatriot's way into the club. He would know how important that this is. For example, it wouldn't surprise me if he accompanied the Under 21s to Villa on Monday. (If he isn't being used like this, then the club is missing a trick.)
