You're My Waterloo – The Libertines
Janie Jones – The Clash
Love Ire and Song – Frank Turner
What if Punk Never Happened – The King Blues
Handlebars – Flobots
Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now – The Smiths
The Rare Old Times – The Dubliners
Fluorescent Adolescent – Arctic Monkeys
Back In the Game – Jamie T
We Were Children – Tribes

This was much harder than I expected. If people have spotify I could put all these together as a Friends of Fulham playlist? Could be fun.

do you not think that sly stone is one of the great  underrated performers nowadays? some of his old stuff rivals anything from the period,  a particular favourite of mine was/is 'hot fun in the summertime' although it's not on FoF playlist!

The King

#24
1. AC/DC - Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be
2. Peter Tosh - Johnny B. Goode
3. Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Southern Man (4 Way Street)
4. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man
5. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Voodoo Chile
6. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Ramble Tamble
7. Funkadelic - March to the Witch's Castle
8. Red Hot Chili Peppers - I Could Have Lied
9. Judas Priest - Victim of Changes
10. The Doors - The End

Pretty much my Last.fm top tracks. Another obvious choice from Funkadelic would have been Maggot Brain, but March to the Witch's Castle is the song that got me into them. Eddie Hazel has to be the most underrated guitarist ever. Could also have a Crosby, Stills & Nash and a Neil Young track there but CSN&Y is already included so whatever.

Never thought I'd see Swans pop up on someone's top ten playlist. Helpless Child is a fav of mine.

Just seen Parliament/Funkadelic in London at a special concert at a recording studio in Chiswick, only 90 people, and then a Q and a with Clinton on the sunday.

The concert was brilliant we were right next to the band and I had a chance to chat with michael hampton who is  the main man for maggot brain (which IS on my list), I know about Hazel  being brilliant and very innovative but i do prefer Hampton's style and his performance the other day was just out of this world!

Mr Clinton is a very interesting man and very amusing, but has a bad knee so i personally had to help him on and off stage!

Kentish Gent

1 So What - Miles Davis
2 I've Got You Under My Skin - Frank Sinatra
3 Elgar's Nimrod - London Symphony Orchestra
4 That'll Be The Day - Buddy Holly
5 A Case of You - Diana Krall
6 Solitary Moon - Shirley Horn
7 Green Onions - Booker T & The MGs
8 No Regrets - Walker Brothers
9 O Magnum Mysterium - Choir of Kings College, Cambridge
10 Makin' Whoopee - Dave Grusin and Michelle Pfeiffer

....I think that;s what they call eclectic (or was it 'electric'?!).

Am I the only one feeling compelled to continue making lists?

That's pretty cool! I would love to see them live, but they're never going to come to Finland and flying to Amsterdam/London/whatever town they play in just to see them would be a bit too much. Back in 2009 I was in London when they were supposed to be playing somewhere in Southwark but I never found any info about it and was gutted I missed it. I also love the stuff he did with Red Hot Chili Peppers on Freaky Styley in the mid-80s. As an interesting note, the man who speaks the first line in Yertle the Turtle on Freaky Styley is Clinton's drug dealer who came to the studio demanding Clinton to pay his debts to him. Clinton having no money offered him a part in the album.

if you do get the chance to see him you must make the effort... take ear plugs he is mighty loud!!! and it is a very unusual experience but amazing
I have been seeing seen him since 1979, and Bootsy the year before. the show has moved on but maggot brain is perenial... nothing else remains... i am still waiting to hear him sing testify......  the show in london was a one off exceptional event look out for the dvd and book! it is supposed to be out in april.. but clinton is never on time.
maybe he never went to finland because nobody ever asked him.
