I know we got more important things going on than player contracts but I was just wondering who has a contract that expires this summer as surely they will want to impress Magath to earn an extension.

The players I think are out of contract (correct me if I'm wrong)

Johnny Heitinga
John Arne Riise
Matthew Briggs
Damien Duff
Derek Boateng
Giorgos Karagounis
Steve Sidwell
Muamer Tankovic

I'm not sure if I have missed any but I'm sure all them players will be desperate to help keep us in the league, impress the new manager & earn a new deal

Whose contracts we extend depends so much on what league we're in. The majority of those names would only be of use in the Championship.

Tank, Sid, Heitinga are the names that stand out as ones I'd like to see extended ASAP - they'd be useful if we stay up and even more so if we don't.
