H/t 0-1
Interesting that Dembele is not playing, don't think he's injured so could be in the squad for Cardiff tomorrow ????

Thanks for the updates. Dembele tomorrow? would Magath go that route?

I'd imagine he's seen enough of Dembele in training, would be worth at least having on the bench

bulgariawhite

Inexperienced and young though. Doesn't fit his demographic plan

SouthfieldWhite

Get in, 0-2 Patrick Roberts with a great solo effort

bulgariawhite

The future is bright if nothing else. All we have to do is hang on to these players if the worst happens

Barrie

Dembele's moved up to the U21's now.

Redford  wraps up the win with a goal to make it 3-0
Great win

He will still play for the u18s in the FA Youth cup and thought he might have a run out condsider it's Chelsea and top of the table game

SouthfieldWhite

To be fair to Chelsea they did rest some players and played a couple of younger ones

Brilliant result. Without these youngsters we wouldn't have a lot to smile about.

Sounds like another one for the Pat Roberts portfolio.

Chelsea, in a very fair report, make much of their inclusion of youngsters - but we only had 4 18 year olds on view and at least one of 16 (not sure about Abedeyo). Apart from the missing Dembele, we also had Donnelly as an unused sub (he played for NIre u21 yesterday, as did Noe Baba for RoI u19).

They had alot of u16s playing and a couple of u15s on the bench, I spoke to a Chelsea scout this afternoon and he was playing it down, either way still a good win in their back yard.

Thanks for the updates, a great win, so pleased for Deano as he deserved a goal against West Ham. Gutted I wasn't there but am in the states at the moment, definitely makes up for the loss to West Ham. Dembele and Roberts were both rested for the Hammers game, both only came on for the last 25 minutes. They have both involved in international call ups recently , maybe we are giving them a rest. If you consider the Wilshire situation how much is due to too much football too young? It's not looking too good for him at the moment which is very sad when you look at the player he was over 2 years ago.
