.....sooner rather than later the fallback strategy of Mr Khan, which may or may not have been in place at the time he bought into the club if relegation reared its ugly head.

Assuming that multi billionaires (OK, with some notable exceptions) have the ability to think straight and make alternative plans to counteract reverses in fortune, then does it seem to be a little premature to think that nothing will change, (save for having a younger squad who will play their way out of the championship) and the club will be funded to stay at the Cottage for ever and enjoy a secure future.......

And I'm still not convinced that the current owner's plan involves football at the highest level, but rather more as a sideshow for *ahem* other interests.

We are now sailing into uncharted waters again.....perhaps the spirit of Jimmy Hill (bless him) needs to be invoked again too.
