Expect we are all gutted after today, so many things wrong with the Club this year! I would like to know whose bright idea it was to sign up the Greek rather than to spend money on a player or players who might have actually helped us avoid relegation. If it was our CEO, he should be sacked!!

For £12m we could have got Jelavic and Long - then today wouldn't have happened
@MattRhys63 - be warned, there will be a lot of nonsense

i said this before but got a backlash however for 12.4 million we could have got sneijder and drogba or someone like those two and be safe by now. unbelievable.  :dft004: :dft004: :dft004: :dead horse:

Do we have to go  here yet again, what is the point in going on about the greek, it's been done to death already.

I've never been able to stop thinking about this ever since they hit the ground running at Hull.

He could have put away these chances bent had.
He wouldn't be running pressuring the defenders all over the place because he's not that kind of player but he can put the ball in the net. I thought your manager knew what he was buying.
Felix chose the workhorse today instead of the quality player and these are the results.

Felix didn't buy him.

I'm talking about felix's team selection.
Us mitroglou fans have said numerous times that Kostas doesn't do that much for the defence. He just doesn't.
After he healed up some time ago he could play for you guys and bang in some goals.
But felix prefers players that run and do their part instead of a quality finisher.
It's the manager's choice but why did you guys bought him then in the first place.

If he was still with us we would have beaten man.u in champions league, Q_Q.
Can we trade him back pls, xD.

If we get our £12m back then yes please. Doubt he'll play for us again so that sounds the best deal to me.

We bought him in the first place to replace our other striker who doesn't do anything for the defence. You'd think we'd learn.

That's the question we've all been asking.  It wasn't the last manager who brought him in, but the guy who appointed the new one.  If there were plans to replace Rene when Mitroglou was bought, then spending £12million on a player who may or may not be in the plans of the new guy is scandalous.

The fact that he has been injured hasn't helped either.  The transfer is a MASSIVE blotch on a truly terrible season, and one that is likely to contribute heavily to us going down.

Do you guys seriously expect to get a quality striker that also pressures a lot and runs for his team?
Why would a player like that, a player like cavani/rooney/pedro come and play for fullham.
I mean no disrespect, the same goes for my team.
My honest opinion is that you expect too much, that, or you can shell off 40m and buy a player with both these attributes.

After watching him playing for us I would choose to cater him every time and have my 9 other field players run more just so he can get some shots on target.

The quality player (your words as I haven't seen him play) was not fit and injured. No one is really knocking him but the management who brought him.

I don't think being a good finisher should excuse a lack of mobility. Particularly if, as you seem to be saying, it is by choice.

i remember looking at the cost of signing sneijder (around 8 million) and drogba (around 4 million) to galatasaray. not necessarily those two but big names like those two. if they went to play in turkish premier league why wouldnt they have played in the pl wearing fulham colours (champions league is the only thing i can come up with and maybe a bigger fan base)?

LoL @cost of signing.
Drogba got paid 13.5 millions for one and a half year contract.
Sneijder something along the same lines.

Quality Player? Not for us he's not. He has been sick more than fit, and the only time we did see him in a Fulham shirt he was either not-as-billed or not match fit, or both.

Berbatov was/is a quality player, but he wasn't at Fulham, because a club like ours is not set up for that kind of player.

As for why did we buy him? because the same board that gave MJ 6 months too long before sacking him decide they wanted him.

Personally I don't give a monkeys how he's been for your club, he's not presented the goods at the Cottage and that's all that counts for me, the sooner we offload him to another club the better, he's just a white elephant to Fulham.
Logical is just in the name - don't expect it has anything to do with my thought process, because I AM the man who sold the world.
