Watching Sunderland thrash Cardiff 4-0 is a prime example of how you produce a back bone and show some fight to stay in the league. To draw with city away and beat chelski at the bridge and to beat their/our closest relegation rival by a four goal margian is why they will stay up and we are going down. We couldnt even hold on to a 2-0 lead against HULL....    090.gif

Completely agree, but then that's why we are going down, we've had zero back bone all season. For me, the writing has been on all wall for quite some time now, Hull at home just confirmed our worst fears, that we really are pants. 37 points won't be enough to keep us in this league, and although I want to stay optimistic, we're done.

It would be churlish to wish ill on Poyet, Sunderland and their fans.  If they escape, good luck to them.  They're not to blame for our plight - though a 1-4 thumping didn't help.  They did their best to help us on the opening day of the season.
