Nope. Never heard of any of them.

When does the proper transfer list get released? This isn't it.

Just having a whip round some premier league players who could be moving, Ricardo Vaz Te (pace and 20 goals in his last Championship season), John Guidetti (not set Stoke on fire, ManC may be tempted to sell, could be a flop but could be great), Scott Sinclair (may need a fresh start, not been favoured at West Brom this year, proven in the championship - 22 goals in last Champs' Season).

And from the Championship, Jordi Gomez (set pieces and creativity), Jack Collison (although may not get through our medical check), and Emmanuel Frimpong (I know he's not great, but I liked him). To be honest, I'm not sure any of these would be preferable over what we have - Collison maybe, but not convinced.

By the way, I'm not saying any of these would be preferred choices, but cheaper options who will probably be available. Please don't start with the "we shouldn't fill our squad with frees" - I know, I know..

Still believe

I have to admit that I hardly ever watch championship football so don't know anything about most on the list.  However I too would give Emmanuel Frimpong a go - he may be the kind of metal we need in midfield, especially if (i hope not) Sidwell goes....

I did see Chris Commons in this list tho. Decent player. Better than most other on the list.

Sean St. Ledger would be a handy squad player. But apart from that, there is nothing too exciting on that list.

God The Mechanic

Frimpong was released by Barnsley and also got sent off on his debut for them, not sure he'd really be worth a punt.

Jordi Gomez on the other hand, was absolutely shocked no one went for him last summer.  Think he's a very good player, especially for the Championship.

The only problem with Jordi is, as a left-footed CAM, if he were to play it'd probably hinder the progress of Chris David.. That is, unless David were pushed out wide, at which point it'd hinder the progress of Pat Roberts..

I mentioned him because I rate him, but would he be surplus to requirements here?

Agree with you on Frimmy. He thinks he's better than Barnsley, and is more interested in building his brand than his ability.. Could be worth a punt, but on a short contract heavy on performance-based pay..

We're gonna play a LOT of games next year, and wasn't one of David's issues since he joined a lack of real fitness?  We'd need to rotate, but that would keep players fresh, provide competition, and Gomez has a fair amount of experience so would likely be a real benefit to a similar player.  We could also play one deeper, so both in a midfield three with either a sitter or a destroyer.

Having two identical players is never ideal, but I think it would give us tactical flexibility when we need to push for a goal  Also David is young enough to possibly be moulded to play a bit deeper permanently.

There is a reason that Arsene persisted with him for so long.. He has got ability and injuries have played a big part in his career so far unfortunately.

However, there is a reason Arsene let him go to Barnsley in the end.. I'm not sure his attitude is heading in the right direction.

He could go on to be a decent player or go the other way, I feel it's hard to tell.

Chris Eagles wouldn't be the worst shout in the world. Seem to remember us being linked to him back when he was in the Prem last time with Burnley. Paddy McCourt is a funny one too. He is remembered fondly up here in Scotland due to his penchant for remarkable solo goals. But also prefers the black stuff to the green stuff and would much rather top up his Guiness than play 90 minutes. Worth a YouTube search however, brilliant feet.
The above may be nonsense

Denver Fulham

If Gomez wants to come to Fulham, you sign him. We're going be to playing 50+ matches next season. He's not going to "hinder" the development of anyone. And he's quite good.

theFFCfan

we really need a dead ball specialist. Set pieces are so important in the championship, and a good headerer of the ball in a cb

Nero

Jack Collison (although may not get through our medical check) what medical checks we don't do them since Mo left that's how we got the Greek

He's a strange one. He has always looked like a good solid player when I have seen him play, even at full international level for the republic against the likes of Italy but he never seems to settle at a club. Frimpong is a bit of a lunatic on the pitch. He makes Lee Cattermole look like an alter boy when it comes to tackling.
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

The Rock

Chris Eagles was always decent. He might be the only one. Frimpong. I guess. But this is not for us. Esprenckenzie deutsche?

Nero

Old yes but creative would you?

Former England midfielder Joe Cole has confirmed that he has left West Ham following the expiration of his contract.

The 32-year-old was given an 18-month deal in January of last year but he has not featured much during the 2013/14 campaign.

Cole scored in a 3-3 draw against West Brom in December but that was the last Premier League match he started.

However, he plans to continue playing and told talkSPORT: "I'm a free agent now and I'm looking for a new club.

"My relationship with West Ham is great, but obviously it didn't work towards the end of this season and I didn't play enough.

"So, I'm just going to take my time over the summer and find the right fit.

"At this stage of my career, finances are not important for me. I want to enjoy my football, I want to compete and I just want to play more."

Cole is a graduate of the West Ham academy and is considered one of the most talented players of his generation.

He joined Chelsea in 2003 and won three Premier League titles during a spell in which he became an England regular, and he has represented his country 56 times at senior level.

Injuries led to him slipping down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and a move to Liverpool in 2010 failed to re-ignite his career but he had a successful loan stint with Lille before re-joining the Hammers.

God The Mechanic

Nope, old and injury prone.  Probably the most technically gifted and exciting English player of his generation, but he never really fulfilled that potential.
