Pre Season Friendlies

Just had a look at the result against Rangers this evening, didn't recognise 1/2 of our named players, have we had a complete clear out, I read earlier that 1 of the forum posters thought we had only got rid of 1 or 2 of our regular players, which planet is he on? Can't really see the point of playing our pre arranged friendlies, surely we haven't sank that far, have we?
