After 4 pre-season halves do we have any clearer idea on the formation that Magath favours ? ( I am hoping there will be a stable plan A but then with B and C back ups )

Just from the team sheets I suggest we are looking at 4-4-2 .

But I have not seen the games .

Now that richardsons going  ive got a feeling kaca will be given the left side and any replacement for kieran will be back up. Were linked with maguire and badly need a centre mid, id be satisfied with a 4-2-3-1 which seems to be the new thing at the minute but I think if hugo stays he has to play which would mean a 442.

                        Stockdale
voser    maguire   amorbieta   greek

               ?/david          Parker

Dejagah                                          Kaca

                 Hugo         Mcormack
subs
bettinelli
hoogland
burn
tunnicliffe
David/?
G williams
woodrow

At the moment Im thinking something along them lines which I wouldnt be too disappointed with. 2 or 3 more big signings needed I reckon

Supporting Fulham isn't about winning, it's about belonging

4-4-2 looks very likely.... up front is our strongest area at present, so playing 2 strikers is a no brainer for me.... it also worked well last season for the teams that got promoted.

A winning one I hope.

I expect it to be any variation of 442. So 2 banks of four, a diamond, one man off the striker. I dont see moving much from that given the players we have.

And I did some work on that in these two articles:

I think 4-4-2 but won't be surprised to see a 5-4-1 also

Craven Mad

Magath seems to like a formation that can quickly change - without subs - during a game. Plus, with the focus on purchases being fullbacks and strikers, I expect 4 at the back and two up top.

I would predict a formation that centres on a 4-4-2 diamond, which would shift to become a 4-2-2-2 (wingers push up, CAM dropping back), a 4-1-3-2 (wingers up), or 4-4-1-1 (1 striker drops behind the other).

J.Perkins

I reckon it will be between 4-4-2, because of the amount of forwards we have. Maybe the odd 3-5-2/5-4-1 now and then.

I would believe main formation would be 4-4-2, and a 4-4-1-1

Thanks, It took a while but it was actually all around in different places and just had to pull it together.

With the players we have I think know we could take teams apart with this 4-4-2

Stockdale
Voser Hutchinson Amorebieta Stafylidis
Dejagah David Parker Kacaniklic
McCormack Rodallega

A partnership of Rodallega & McCormack will score goals

Dejagah I hope is the one I don't want to see leave he could flourish if he stays fit.
4-4-2 by the way.
