Released Player You'd Have Most Wanted To Keep

As the title says, which of the currently released/sold players would you most like to have kept, and what reason.

Richardson for me. Thought he really played well last year

Really decent question....

I voted for Stockdale because at the moment, he has left the biggest hole.

Richardson and Dejegah are big blows, but we are playing a diamond so these are not as missed at the moment.

Karagounis showed at the WC he still has the class, but if he was still here it would mean one of our youngsters getting pushed out, which would be a problem. He would have been excellent for salfyidis and Mitro (should he stay ) this season though.

I really didn't rate Kasami last season but in this diamond we seem to be playing, I was tempted to pick him

He has been with Fulham for some time and I think he would do well in the Championship (and has done for other clubs), even if he might not be quite up to premiership levels.

I liked Heitinga, but that was never going to happen.

As to the rest, I find myself doing that shrugging thing that Parisiens favour you with whenever you make the mistake of trying to address them in English.

Sidwell gets my vote, but that's only if we got rid of parker instead, otherwise I would have kept stock dale, but we did none of that

Stockdale - purely based on the fact that he is yet to be replaced and it's a key position.

Heitinga. I think he's exactly what we are lacking in defence: a leader and a damn fine defender that is experienced but not ancient.

Plus, he could have filled in for Parker in the defensive midfield role when needed. We're looking really thin there, unless Hoogland ends up being Parker's competition.

Why am I really glad I am not a season ticket holder?  Has there ever been a more chaotic, unbalanced, ill thought out pre-season than this?  It has the makings of a total shambles.  Rudderless ships don't even come into it.
