I'm gonna echo a few people on here. Holtby was rarely good, mostly average, sometimes even pathetically so. Sure, you can attribute his poor loan spell to personal problems or whatever, but he just didn't perform. Don't get why he played out wide so much, though. Even René put him there against Southampton. Bizarre.

The right Manager would get the best out of Holtby and make him a better Player, sadly Magath is not a Manager, unfortunately he is a Liability.
