You have a good eye for the game, from your match reports, so I would not rule yourself out yet HD....

Unless of course you pride yourself on picking number's out of a hat.... you are not a bingo caller are you ;)

for me i would rule out Jol for obvious reasons ;), Pulis because it would be neanderthal football and Alladyce and Harry because i just don't like them (they would not come any way).

i think the best 3 options right now are McKay (altho he helped in Cardiffs demise to a degree but he did well in the champ with them and watford i think it was), Sherwood (has a record of working with the youngsters altho his spurs youngsters were a limited team even though they had talent), HOddle (he is simply a players coach by all accounts wants them learning and playing properly, and no one seems to say anything bad about his coaching style or technique) and lastly Moyes (not my perfect choice but has woorkeds with limited budgets and has bought through some good young players in his time)

Manager wise I'd say Hoddle or Moyes. Either would be good.
I doubt Moyes would come as he might think he's too big for the Champ, but I can't see anyone offering him a job for a while as his end at Manure was so catastrophic. He prob doesn't need the money or the aggrp just yet either.

I like Sherwood's attitude but his tactics are shockingly naïve. Reminds me of Keegan at Newcastle. You score 4 but well score 5 etc etc. He would be good for out youngsters tho.

Someone like Karl Robinson from MK Dons.

An up and coming manager with fresh ideas with Kit Symons or Chris Coleman as number 2.

Kit Symons. Looks like we are going to have to rely on a team made up mostly of our kids and Kit knows how to get the best out of them - and they know him. Anyone else and it is too much upheaval.

I suppose the only ones available are Moyes, Sherwood & Clarke. I am discounting Mackay for obvious reasons. I the interim I would promote Kit to 1st team assistant as he knows the kids.

Its not only the manager I`m worried about, Its the owners who scare me!

Wow, just read the Malky texts. If they are proved legit, that's insane. That's some Donald Sterling s@#t. Righto, he's out. Shame as he would have been perfect.

I will jump on Roberto Di Matteo. If memory serves me correctly (which it often doesn't), he was the man behind West Brom that got west prom promoted first season in charge after they had just been relegated.

He's also won a champions league..

Dont get me wrong I like Danny Murphy, but why are so many so certain that a man with no managing history, would do any better with such a complete new team like us? 21 players out during summer, 6 from academy taken up to first team and then McCormack, Hutchinson, Voser, Hoogland, Stafylidis, brought in.

Pacience is running out for the fans I understand that, but if we brought in a new one now, who then wants to change everything again, who would it be, why Murphy, Murphy has no managing history on him, sure he can be good, and I would love it if he did at a team he took over, but would our current team in our current state be the right for us and him?

I would say give him a bit more time, and yes it is hard but who knows what time I actually will do, I would hate us to becomme the type of team that changes manager each 6 months cus that will deffinetly bring us to ruins.

Robbie

WORST IDEA EVER !   what we need is a proper, British, experienced, no-nonsense, track-record manager. Not an ex-player, wonk.  We have surely had enough of these erratic choices.  Pulis, McCarthy, Holloway etc.

Sheepskin Junior

I've wanted Di Matteo since before Jol was sacked. Would be a brilliant acquisition.
Youngest ever member. Just saying.

I can't see Moyes dropping down yet, nor Sherwood who aspires to one of the soon to be vacant a premier seats on the back of last season results. Although Hoddle has turned down the Palace job as loyalty to Arry, he may consider our project with youth more attractive. But I would like to see Lee Clark here, cares about Fulham, believes in passing attacking game and has been picking youth players from premier clubs for the last 2 seasons to keep Birmingham afloat with no money, but again, although he was there last night can't see it happening, think Ali will bring in a big name foreigner again.
