I reckon 2.

The Iranian chap we have been linked with.

A CM no hoper from some Germany second division who is 34 and a ex Magath crony.

The Iranian looks likely I guess, again we could do a lot better.

I reckon heskey as well as a few 35+ Journeymen I do not know of,hoping and praying to be proved wrong and we sign some player we all go wow that's a great signing
Every day is a Fulham day

K33NY

Marlet, Heskey, Bogdan, Dean Leacock, Li Weifeng,  Akinbiyi, all brought in to bring experience in Magath's change of changes

I wonder what stopped us being ambitious about promotion after the McCormack signing and the utter mess that followed? It is almost as if the management just threw their hands in the air and gave up.

I really thought we would follow through and sign Championship experience to go along with what we had. Fotheringham and Kiraly have finally made me realise that whoever comes in now. Will be at best inexperienced and deeply unfit. Or very very experienced and deeply unfit.

The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

I think you'll find that Kahn is still very naive to the game, and that Magath has managed to convince him that he can gain promotion from the Championship with the kids.

Im sorry but Khan being naive is no longer an excuse. He has owned this club for over a year now. He should make an effort to learn and spot a dud. Come on Fotheringham you can see from just his wiki page he is useless.

Kahn and Magath seem as thick as thieves. He's done it before remember, took a bunch of kids in the German league, won promotion, saved a shed load of money. I'm sorry, but my vision is that Kahn has bought Magaths theory, and not the required players this Club needs. anyway, it'll all come tumbling down and hopefully Kahn will get it right at the 3rd attempt.

I bumped into macintosh at motspur park station before the brentford game and fair play to him he stood there in the rain chatting to me for a good 10 mins. Every question I asked him his reply was I dont know. He said he is keeping his head down at the moment and when I asked if it was true that magath speaks direct to khan and keeps mac out of the loop he just laughed and again replied 'like I said, im not sure about anything thats going on at the minute'. He looked so depressed and isolated that I almost felt sorry for him.

Its his own fault for so many poor decisions but it seems quite clear magath has got khan wrapped round his little finger. He rings him everyday apparently. Worrying times ahead!

I would love to know what has changed Khan's "finances be damned" approach to promotion that he stated that we'd have at the end of last season.

I don't want us spending for the sake of spending but, we've been balancing the transfer books all summer. I wouldn't be surprised if we've profited by the time the window is over.

If the Ali Mac thing is true the man needs to grow a pair. He is in a senior level position and has weight to throw around. He is basically sitting back taking a huge wedge, does he not want to have a influence on what happens in the club? If so he is not the right man for the job.

I dont wanna stir things but from his body language and attitude I got the impression he doesnt get on with felix at all. And clearly magath has won that war and got himself right under khans wing.

Wouldnt be surprised if mac goes soon which I guess isnt too much of a bad thing

The story from Magath is really plausible:

1. We were relegated last year because the club was full of old, unfit players who were not putting in the effort during matches

2. There was a need to get rid of the old players and re-invigorate the squad

3. Bringing in youngsters would create a fit team who were eager and would fight for their place and the team

4. We have an excellent Academy with many youngsters ready to play in the first team so do not need to buy lots of new players

5. Most of the youngsters have not played in competitive league matches. Therefore we will need to try out the players over the first few games to identify the best team.

6. As we will be trying out players we may have a slow start but things will get better. Winning against Brentford shows we are beginning to get there but results will vary until we have finished trying everyone out

7. From the initial games we need to get some experienced support to help the youngsters as they are not quite ready yet. Possibly players on a short term contract as the youngsters will have all the experience they need by the end of the season. That would be better than loans as last season showed that players on loan are not necessarily committed to the club (i.e. they didn't keep us up)

8. Based on my previous experience and success you just need to wait until later in the season when the team really starts performing and is almost unbeatable - although still expect the occasional loss.

Not saying I believe it but you can see how some people would - the art of managing upwards.

I really thought that after buying McCormack it would have been just a start to us bringing in quality players. What has stalled this?. We have gone back to the last 3 years of bringing in freebies & players of dubious quality just to swell the ranks.

Indeed and it must be MAFs fault aswell. Makes the two muppets comments about MAF even more laughable

If we don't bring in a combative midfielder then we are going to see game after game like ipswich and Millwall where we will just get bullied. I take the point of allowing the youth to come through and not signing players who get in the way of their development but we haven't got a strong ball winning midfielder coming through

Khan is a liar at the end of the day he said he'd spend what it took to get us back didn't he? Yet clearly we won't spend a penny unless we first ship out the expensive flops, Ruiz and Mitro

SG

What a complete shambles this club is becoming. An apparent megalomaniac manager and an owner who despite his earlier comments seems hell bent on making sure that we do not return to the premiership. The transfer purse is evidently shut with a net spend this window of nil. So much for his promises. Given the comments emanating from around the club and in the press nobody in their right mind is going to sign for us so we are left with the free transfers and no hopers.

I'm not sure about these comments. They are based on guess work. I will wait until the window closes before making comments. It does seem to me though that it depends how much we get for outgoing players first and whether the leave at all is better than spending first and not be able to play half the players. We will know by Monday.
