He's not the first overseas manager to be unimpressed (and exasperated) by the low quality of the football journalism here.

Got to back Magath on this one.....once Mitro has gone they'll be asking the same questions.....different player same question....I wonder who scouted and signed Mitro, was it Barry Simmonds?....he's now at Norwich - left Fulham last month

Felix is right. Both players were severely criticised on this board last season. The reasons were they under performed. Neither player has been taken by a top club and Hangeland is not setting the place alight at Crystal Palace. You can probably conclude that this will be his last season in Top class football. All sad but true. Unlike players from years ago neither Risse or Hangeland will ever have to work again.

Both the players involved had distinguished careers but sadly had reached the end of the road. They had a higher opinion of themselves than Magath or the majority of supporters. They should have been more professional than to openly slag off Magath & just walked away. I back Magath 100% on this. Magath has had the job of replacing players who through inability or desire did not want to be part of our re-build. There is hardly one player of those who have left that I would want back.

100℅ right it was time for them to go and why would any new coach want players when they were just taking the money and not up to standard anymore.
