A proper partnership

When was the last time that we had a proper partnership up front?  Personally, I am looking forward to seeing Smith & McCormack rekindling their Leeds partnership in the full and certain belief that they will score a hat full of goals for us.

Zamora and gera were sort of a partnership. Helguson and mcbride. I dont really remember another one in recent years. The strike partnership never seemed to be consistent enough to be a partnership or weve played one up top.

Hayles and saha was a good one but boa kind of makes that a trio rather than a partnership.

If our new boys live up to their initals 'this wont just be a partnership, this will be an m and s partnership!'  (Marks and spencers slogan for any foreigners who dont get it)

Agreed - Was it Paul Moody or the Porn star that destroyed Man City that night in the air ?
Either way we needed some aerial presence in this division and Smith and Burn will give it.
A big un and a little poacher will work in this division.

And hopefully the Leeds connection will click again.

Zamora and AJ  had the potential but never really got off the ground mainly because of injuries to AJ.

Surprised we were able to get Smith for £0.5m, thought Leeds would hold out for more.
So , who gives way for Smith, Rodders(yes), Dembele (for the moment),Chihi (yes), Trotta (yes), Woodrow (to share duties ,30/60 minutes per match)

We now have too many strikers.

Wasn't it Bryant and May in the late 70's?

Don't forget the real confidence boost that our wonderful support gave to Zamora !

Completely agree, for me Smith and McCormack will work, they did at Leeds and they will at the Cottage. 500k is a bargain for someone that signed 3 year contract only 2 weeks ago. Hopefully it means McCormack will play more centrally now. Also with the international break it should give them a chance to work together and get ready for Reading.

I remember Zamora looking totally lacking in interest against Odense and calling to be taken off. Not because he was injured but because he couldn't be bothered.
