Would be one of those who would have to win me over, rather than one I would be delighted with at the outset.

Mind you, I was delighted with Jol and Magath when they were both appointed so not sure what that proves.

No thanks. Newcastle have been poor for a while now. Sherwood would be my first choice.

I've never been convinced by him. He does not come across as an effective and constructive manager who can take teams forward. Whether he owes the money he is reported to owe and will not be removed until it is paid is one thing but he does seem to suit Mike Ashley's vision of Newcastle sitting in the middle of the table and pulling in the payments for being there.
