Similar to my team but i would try to find a place for david who i think is straight out the top draw.
I certainly would not pick ruiz, he IMO would be a step backwards and his heart is not in it and in over two years has barely played more than an occasional decent game for us. in the position you show he will be eaten alive in the championship or the game will just pass him by.

Spot on for 1-4.

Although not a fan of Parker, I think as part of sorting out the defensive frailties playing Hoogland and Parker in central midfield may be the short term answer.

What we need is not simply youth in midfield but creativity but yes Hyndman, R Williams and David have that.

Although I like to watch Ruiz for his technical skills I fear he is even less suited to the Championship than the PL. If I was to make only one change to your selection it would be David for Ruiz.

Other points would be drop Parker, start Woodrow, start Ruiz, Start Passley....

Another main thing Kyt cannot do is start Fotheringham.... LVC is a much better option, but I am convinced he will pick a good team, and will get my support whatever he does.

And without spelling it out, I think there is general consensus on 9 or 10 players who are the '1st' eleven, so just make the call on the other 1 or 2 and give us some consistency.

Kit's immediate focus should be:
- Steadying the ship. Any change at the top causes instability, even if it is a "good news" change.
- Quickly deciding on which player is best for what position, and sticking with it. I don't expect to see Kiraly and Fotheringham playing for us again...
- Convincing our promising youngsters, who he knows well, that they have a future here by including them (thoughtfully and carefully) in the squad.
- Do a Hodgson-style "back to basics". Ensure everyone knows what is expected of them. Build the team around a strong defence.
- Creating a rapport with the fans. Jol had none. Felix had none. Sparky had none. We've been missing this for a long time now.

To be fair to Felix, he had a philosophy of moving on those who were past it, unwilling to slum it in the Championship or not keen to play for us... And Kit should maintain that.

David and Hyndman to be regular starters.  McCormack up front with Rodallega/Dembele or I would even give Trotta a run . (Remember him?)  No to Amorebieta.  Bettinelli between the sticks.
