It's a joke that people put S*** on Ruiz. When this post was put up, Kit had been in for 3 games won 2 lost 1 with Ruiz in his 11. Now it's played 4 won 3 lost 1 with Ruiz in the side again. That is impressive even without taking into account the form we were in before they came in. Kit is obviously right, we're a better side with Ruiz in it.

Norwich, Derby & the like will not be accommodating but tonight was time to enjoy the moment. We haven't had too many for a long long while

What I want to know is... WHERE THE HECK was this stuff 2/3 years ago? Admitedley I am now up north so haven't seen that many games this year (Ipswich and Millwall, that's it), but weren't we all saying (me included, I'll admit) that he would be WORSE in this league because he'd have less time on the ball.

Perhaps someone could explain. Is it the formation? His position? Has he bulked up and is more physical? What is it?

Don't know what game you were watching but I thought ruiz was quality some sublime touches and killer through balls added to a solid performance by him and the team. He has been outcast for some time under Mr cheese and he isn't at full fitness for competitive matches but tonight showed what he is capable of.
Great win just got back home.

Really depends on the opposition, Ruiz was given plenty of space today. In the prem when he played, most teams would close him down immediately. If Ruiz is caught in possession early on in the games, he usually goes on to have a bad game. Was a privilege to watch him tonight, backheel was excellent.

just getting in tonight.  Was able to listen to GJ (thank God) but did not have the chance to read the match day thread until now.  Very happy that Ruiz had a great game.  Also glad that Stafylidis was used as a defensive mid-fielder.  I am still not a fan of the diamond and wish Kit would move on to 4-2-3-1 but kudos to him and the players for having the game they did.
