What a wonderful heartwarming instrumental it was...

:dft001: I have loads of different types of music on my iphone but I have to admit that track is on there. Takes me back a bit
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

Growing old is mandatory
Growing up is optional

If we're in instrumental mode....... here's the Ventures (playing in their 50's by the look of it)

Gerry Andersons Fireball XL5 AND Telstar in one thread. My favourite thread for some time.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

My first too. Remember buying it in Sims in Sudbury hill

Logicalman

Logical is just in the name - don't expect it has anything to do with my thought process, because I AM the man who sold the world.

Instrumental pop?

Duane Eddy was and still is head and shoulders above anyone else.

I saw him a couple of years ago with most of Richard Hawley's band and the sound was unbelievably good. He was instantly recognisable from the first note. New stuff as well and a wonderfully genial personality.

I saw him in the 60s and 70s and both times then the professionalism and care in the sound and presentation was first class.

One of my real heroes.

Telstar always reminds me of stylophones made popular by an Aussie painter, can't think of the name right now.................................. 1500.gif

There have been some great music on record over the years. I feel very sorry for the young, who because of down loads do not know the excitement of heading down to the local record shop when a record was on general release and hardly being able to stand the excitement of getting it home on the Dansette record player at full volume

Two Ton Ted

Ah Telstar, absolutely love that tune. They even named a football club after it!

Never ever bloody anything ever.

I think that Dave from Chas and Dave played bass on that as did Heinz who went on the release Just Like Eddie in later years. I am full of useless information I am....don't get asked to dinner ever either...great record which was one of my early buys.

Two Ton Ted

Heinz did, but Dave didn't.

Matt Bellemy of muse's dad played guitar on it.
Never ever bloody anything ever.

What about The Spotnicks  I bought the EP with Amapola Orange Blossom Special and Hava Nagila on it - anybody remember this Swedish band ?
