Our attacking play has become noticeably stale in the past few games - no goals in 3 I believe? Perhaps its time to freshen things up.

Ruiz will in all likelihood be leaving this month, in which case, there is little point in starting him. We are better off persisting with those that are 100% committed to the club. Also, Rodallega has been invisible in recent matches - perhaps due to fatigue? Either way, I would bench him for this one. Woodrow and Kavanagh looked lively against Wolves so I would give both a run. Kacaniklic walks into the team and offers natural width.

An obvious drawback of this setup is that McCormack is shafted out wide but this is not a new role for him. He has played left-wing, centre-midfield and sweeper so far...  He, Fofana and Woodrow can all interchange throughout the match.
