Amazing what a bit of confidence and some decent service can do isn't it?

That's the key point, though. He was a terrible signing for us 'cause he's useless without quality service.

need wide players to deliver what he wants, we didnt have that, and we also seemed to play only one up front and he wasn't chosen as that one.

Still don't have any wide players.

Rubbish. He was given numerous one-on-ones and didn't score one.  Those are the sorts of chances that he's supposedly famous for.

RaySmith

Yes, but would they score if they were playing for us?

But we should get Smith back asap - at least something different to try up front with an in form, confident player who knows where the back of the net is.

Several points Woodrow won't make it with us. the reason is he has a lot of running but no end product. Hugo was guilty of mis-controlling the ball an several occasions. He also is not good enough. We do need to play with the ball in the opposition half and cut out the pointless backward passes. Betinelli made some wonderful saves today but was responsible for not collecting the cross that was put out for a corner and resulted in the first goal. That is three costly mistakes in three games. He needs a rest just like other young players who we have an abundance of. Substitutions do not only need to be made from 65 mins onwards. If its not working change it. When we are losing, opposing teams will automatically have one eye on their lead and will sit back. We need to take advantage of that and press harder to put them under pressure. Today Ipswich were not that much better than us but they didn't pass the ball to the wrong player. They made sure they found their players. At this level so should we

It's all about confidence - we do have good players, and they haven't  suddenly became bad overnight- it's not really about changing this player or that player, but getting some organisation and shape.

A couple of wins and it will all change again, and we will get back on our upward trajectory - though I know this is easier said than done.

As Ray Smith said all about confidence, coming off the bench for a one on one is always hard i would guess, never started a run of games and we never got crosses in. I was disappointed with him too but you have to look at the reasons, something I did afterwards and the management have to take part of the blame, why sign him on loan on high wages if your not going to play him, especially if you say when you sign him he already knows how to play with bebabatov.
