Following tonight's defeat to Tottenham our under 21s have been relegated from the 1st division to the 2nd after such a successful season the last few. Have we taken too many players away from this side? Or is it just not as good as we thought along with missing Kit and Wigley? Our under21s this season have featured players like Taggart, Sambou, Williams, David, Roberts, Eisfield, Donnelly, Plumain, Mesca etc. I know not all of them have featured consistently but this should be a talented squad.

It never rains, but it pours. We might as well have disaster at every level at which we compete and get it over with....

Not as bad as it appears at first sight, for example Arsenal are in division 2, so its not the end of the world.

No it's not the end of the world.

Players develop at different times and previously our players developed early. It is a better level for us at this time. As we have seen this season there are good young players at all levels of the game

At least the U18s stayed up,currently winning 5-1 vs Arsenal.
(although it doesn't look like we could have been relegated anyway as we are Category 1, so at least we didn't finish bottom.)

Vaguely disappointing but not a big deal. Loads of U21s have been on loan (e.g. Richards/Arthurwerry/Burgess), players have been brought in to get fit, others are in the first team squad so don't play much for the U21s, so you'll never get a constant team.
Key thing from U21s is to get more potential first team members. We've probably paused this year after the glut in the previous year, some may be coming through in the next couple of years.
Don't press the panic button on this one.
