Any wise words for your FOF football team?

This Sunday friends of fulham will participate in a 5 a side tournament. Not only have the 7 of us never played together before, we have never even met!

So has anyone got any words of encouragement for our new team?

Anyway I know the lads are nervous and would appreciate some support from their peers. Its about time Fulham took home some silverware and that's what we intend to do! If we go out first round then I'm nicking some cutlery from the bar before I leave.

Also only make substitutions when ther are no mmore than 2 minutes left and ensure they are defenders on for strikers off!

work hard, keep the rolling subs rolling on and off. you will get zero time on the ball so off the ball movement is key. track your players and dont be afraid to shoot from anywhere even your own half.

Is I knockout from the first game Danny or do we get a certain amount of games regardless?

When I asked a few weeks ago he said group stage first but the length of matches wasn't decided until the day. I rang today and they said only 19 teams have entered which is still a lot but they had hoped for 32 so not sure if that changes anything. I would still imagine a group followed by knockouts.

If it was me organising it considering there are only a few days to go, I would cut it off at 20 teams, put them in 4 groups of 5 and top 2 from the groups go into last 8. That way every team gets 4 games and their moneys worth but we will have to see what they go with. I might ring them tomorrow to find out
