And I mean this in the nicest possible way, its great that we had good
times under certain managers and players and the memories of that times will
Always be there.
Lately all we seem to read on the forum is "I would
have Roy back in a Heartbeat", same about Tigana, then there is Bobby is available so is
Sidwell, Baird, Rosenior, Brede and so on...
I certainly dont want to see any of them back at the Cottage, not as players
or Roy or Tigana as managers, they have had their time here.
The challenge lies ahead now and we need fresh and younger men at the helm and
Playing...

Goodness, how I miss them but I don't think that Tigana or Roy would come back anyway so all the suggestions are academic.

I certainly agree that we need to look forward and avoid the trap of shoring-up the team with older players whose best is behind them - i.e. PL cast-offs - just because they might be relatively cheap or on a free.

Whilst I agree with your post. They're the tangible proof of our successful years. It's impossible to pick a player or manager currently out there who would guarantee that kind of future, so hence the posts. Maybe they should post, "is there another Roy or Tigana out there?"

I tend to agree, it rarely works out when players or managers return for a second spell.  That said, there are notable exceptions.  I would certainly welcome Roy back with open arms; not that I believe there is a snowball in hell's chance that it will ever happen.
