Video: Fulham youngster Emerson Hyndman scores winning goal at Under-20 World Cup

The American scored in a 2-1 win against Myanmar yesterday.

Fulham have produced plenty of talent in recent times and with their recent woes on the pitch the development of their young players is certainly one of the positives Fulham fans are clinging on to.

One of them is Emerson Hyndman.

He joined the club from FC Dallas in 2011 and the Texan made his debut for the club in August last year against Ipswich Town.

Hyndman, who has one cap for the full USA national team, is currently playing for the USA under-20 tea at the World Championships in New Zealand.

Yesterday, the Fulham man played the hero.

The USA took on Myanmar in the competition and went 1-0 down after a goal from Yan Naing Oo.

USA were not ready to go down to a massive shock. Le Mans striker Maki Tall equalised and then came Hyndman.

The Fulham midfielder burst away on a counter-attack for USA and ended up being played in to fire the ball to the back of the net and claim three points.

Hyndman, who played 11 times for The Cottagers this season, will hope to push on this summer and play more regularly next term.
